Alicante Airport

The La Safor region is easily reached from Alicante Airport (ALC) by an excellent road network. Daytime flights from virtually all UK airports by budget airlines (EasyJet, Ryanair, Jet2, etc.) to Alicante airport.

Alicante is a modern thriving city in the south of the Comunidad Valenciana, and the capital of Alicante province. Situated about 160 kms south of Valencia City, it is an important tourist centre, has a resident population of just less than 350,000 people, a busy and expanding airport and a port area frequently used by cruise ships and ferries as well as by a certain amount of commercial traffic. Foreign tourists coming to the Costa Blanca resorts will frequently use Alicante as their arrival point in the country, and transport links from the town are improving all the time, especially with the development of the railway network in the region.

DIRECTIONS FROM Alicante Airport
Take the A70 toll motorway heading North (direction Valencia) from the airport. The barrier to take the entry toll ticket from is not immediately upon joining the motorway, as the first several kilometres are free. Do not be disconcerted when the motorway is also referred to as the A7 (which it turns into) – the numbering can be confusing, but it is all the same road! Just keep on going straight up the motorway until exit 61!Leave motorway at exit 61 (the toll is payable on exit, approx €10.00). This is the first Gandia exit heading north, and takes you on to the N332. You need to turn left on to the 332 after the toll booths (signed Gandia). Keep on this road – you will go through Palmyra and Bellreguard – and after Bellreguard you come to a large roundabout with palm trees. Stick on the 332 around the roundabout (turning left, ie 9 o’clock), and you will pass through a short tunnel. There are in fact 2 tunnels – if you go through them both, you have gone too far! Take the exit after the first tunnel (there is only the one exit between tunnels) and this is for the CV-675, which is our road. Take the CV-675 in the direction of Barx – left at the roundabout at the bottom of the slip road – (Gandia is the other way), and we are the first villa just after the 3 kilometre post, on the right hand side (almost immediately opposite a junction to the left). We front on to the road, so don’t head off up any side lane beside the villa! There is a new service road outside our front, which you enter immediately opposite the junction, at which point you are now driving along the front of the Villa. Turn right into the property and park in the front courtyard there. There is a bell-push at the smaller entrance gate.
